I originally began coding it in 1998, for various reasons I never completed it. I was not going to release it until it was 100% perfect, functional, and bug free. But since I never brought it past the initial closed beta I thought I'd release it and see if people still found a use for it. This release is considered Beta but has no bugs I'm aware of. Profiles do not yet work but I believe everything else is functional.
What features does it have?
- Nlke/SNES9x/ZSNES support
- Zip Support
- Supports ROMs on CDs (zipped or not)
- Screenshot support
- Screenshot Wizard, just launch the game with ProjectZ and take a snapshot, exit the emulator and you will be prompted to Rename all the snapshots to match the ROM filename, and/or to use one of the images as the games snapshot!
- Savestate identification, right click a ROM for many options, one of which shows what savestates/sram files exist for the game.
- Optionally you can have ProjectZ delete a savestate/sram if you click it's entry in the context menu.
- Multiple game folders, store your roms anywhere you want, just add the folders to ProjectZ!
- ProjectZ will read the game names from the ROMs, you can even rename the caption manually.
- ROM Groups! Organize your roms into user defined groups, RPGs, Platformers, Shooters, etc... you decide!
- Game List exporting - ProjectZ can create a game list in text or html format of all your games or a specific group, choose what information you want shown (filesize, filename, caption, etc) and how you want the list sorted.
- Each game can be set to launch with Nlke/SNES9x/ZSNES, or the Default emulator you chose in Settings.
- Batch/Shortcut file support - if you have a .bat/lnk/pif file for a certain ROM ProjectZ can execute that instead of the emulator/ROM - Just incase there is an occasion where you want to do something special when launching the game.
- Disable the game snapshot if you don't want to use it.
- Disable the Snapshot wizard if you don't want to use it
I'm typing this on the fly for an app that I haven't coded for awhile, so I probably missed some things along the way :)
Anyway, please check it out and let me know if anyone would still consider it useful.
"ProjectZ" is the dev name, the actual name was suppose to be "Super Game Manager", so you can tell what my goal with it was. :)

Hello!
I have (yet again) been neglecting FEC... my apologies to everyone that still browses our archives!
I'm planning on revamping FEC with a completely new backend that will allow me to the front-end archives up to date and easy to maintain.
When all is said and done FEC will be leaner, meaner, and well.... better ;D
Also the archives will be database driven and plans for allowing other emulation sites to benefit from it are already under way.

| OffEnd added to Atari 2600 page |
haoshiro |
There's been some changes since it's initial release:
Changes in 0.6
Support for Z26 Atari 2600 Emulator.
Changed config file so that it now resides in the same folder as the Offend executable.
Each supported emulator now has its own config file. Offend will attempt to correct old versions
of the config files & generate correct ones. However I cant guarantee that this function will
work every time. If it fails then it should create a config file with default settings (I really
dont think that this will cause any problems for anyone).
Various small bugs & glitches ironed out.
Changes in 0.5
Support for non-dos filenames (eg filenames with spaces in). This is especially useful if you have used
Cowerings GoodTools or another rom-renaming program.
Support for the DVE Vectrex emulator.
Changes in 0.4
The cancel buttons now work properly !!!
Fixed the General Configuration screen to display the correct current settings.
Code optimised a little to remove sloppy programming.
Save version number along with config file.
Support for V7800 Atari 7800 Emulator.
